→ through her six years at new york unversity [ first to obtain her associates and then to obtain her bachelor's ] poppy vowed that she would make a better life for herself than her non-existent parents ever offered her. she worked hard to keep her grades well above those of her peers and graduated with top honors and at the front of her class. once she graduated from nyu with her bachelor's in finance management she set out to find a job.
